The story
Stellenbosch reclaimed second place in the DStv Premiership table after they cruising to a convincing 3-0 victory over Golden Arrows at the Danie Craven Stadium on Wednesday evening.
The Maroons stretched their undefeated streak to 25 matches in all competition, securing their third consecutive victory and reinstating their three-point lead over the Buccaneers.
To commemorate the continuation of their incredible run of results, head coach Steve Barker and his talented troops took time pay tribute to the late Oshwin Andries.
Andries, who wore number 25 at Stellies, tragically lost his life early last year just days before his 20th birthday. As reported by local publications, the teenage prodigy was stabbed incessantly with a sharp object during a get together in Klapmuts.
The SFC academy-graduate had a bright future ahead of him in football after catching eyes when making his professional debut at the age of 18, making 11 senior appearances for the men in marron, where he played in defence and midfield.

Speaking after the game to SABC Sport, Steve Barker revealed why it was important for the team to reach 25 games unbeaten:
"A couple of weeks back on social media when it was 23 unbeaten, we showed Jayden Adams and then I was just asking, yes that was very nice, I enjoyed it. Has anyone got number 24? Thabo Moloisane said I'm 24 then I said what's after that? Then everybody pretty much knew, Oshwin's shirt is in our team meeting room it's hanging on the wall there and everybody knows the number," said Barker.
"It was just a small reference to, you know 25 is a big number, it's a special number for our club so let's try and get that 25 unbeaten. Let's try and get a big victory at home on the 25th game so I think it turned out to be that way and very special for us," concluded Barker.
