Despite picking up three major awards this season, Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana star Thapelo Maseko says he is still very raw in his development as a player.

Never in his wildest dreams would Maseko anticipate that he would have a debut season like this.
Having joined Sundowns from SuperSport United last season, the 20-year-old has managed to work his way into the Brazilians' star-studded outfit, where he has shone brightly for the club whenever called upon.
His performances saw him crowned the inaugural African Football League Player of the Tournament and Top Goal Scorer, while his latest award came in the form of the 2023 COSAFA Most Promising Player, which he received at the Sandton Convention Centre on Thursday evening.
Despite all he has achieved in a short period of time, Maseko says he still has a long way to go in terms of learning.
"I still believe I'm a very raw player because things have been happening so quickly for me. I played one season in the MDC [Multichoice Diski Challenge], one season at SuperSport in the professional ranks and I was signed by one of the biggest teams in Africa," he told journalists.
"So, things have been going very fast for me, but I'm trying to adjust and be at my level best," he added.
Injury has hampered Maseko's season significantly for both club and country, though he'll be hoping to continue in the same vain when he returns to action, with his eyes cast on Bafana Bafana's upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
