The South African took charge of Abha Club in January with the aim of keeping the side in the Saudi Pro League, but saw their chances of survival suffer a bitter blow this week.
Mosimane's Abha conceded eight goals without reply, with Ronaldo scoring an incredible first-half hat-trick, in what is the biggest defeat the 59-year-old has experienced in his managerial career.
Speaking after the game, the ex-Mamelodi Sundowns boss shouldered the blame for the result before issuing a message of support for one of his younger players.
"I bear full responsibility," he said, according to Yallakora.
"We must accept the loss after committing many mistakes, and we must learn from this harsh lesson
"Al Nassr gave us five goals with serious mistakes. I feel sorry for the player Mohammed Al Qahtani.
"He is a young player and must learn from his mistakes in the upcoming matches."
Abha Club remain 17th in the Saudi Pro League, three points from safety, with eight matches still to be played.
