According to The Telegraph, Atletico Madrid could be looking to pursue a move for the 22-year-old at the end of the season.
The one-time England international has been impressive during his loan spell at Spanish minnows Getafe, for whom he has contributed to 11 goals in 22 appearances.
It is believed Los Rojiblancos will be looking to add attacking reinforcements ahead of the 2024/25 campaign after failing to land Juventus' Moise Kean in January.
Greenwood has since become a player Atleti are reportedly interested in, with the United academy product expected to return to the Red Devils following his loan spell.
The forward has previously been linked with Barcelona and Real Madrid, although it remains to be seen which of the interested clubs would offer the 20-time English champions the best terms.
